FOIA Requests

An alien’s immigration history with government agencies can be complex and depending on the circumstances, could have a detrimental effect on their existing immigration status or on immigration benefits they are trying to obtain. Before proceeding with any application for immigration benefits, it is imperative to know the foreign national’s immigration history and explore the consequences it may have on future applications. The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides a right to request access to immigration records for individuals covered by this law.

At the Law Office of Sonia M. Frontera, we can file on your behalf FOIA requests with the Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).
